Dr. Mark Petersmann

Emergency Veterinarian, Medical Director

Science was always Dr. Petersmann's favorite subject in high school and college, and he knew he wanted to help both animals and people alike. Combining these passions with an inquisitive nature, and always looking for a challenge, he knew that becoming a Veterinarian was the right career for him.
When not at work, Dr. Petersmann enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and son, Hugh.  Their four-legged family members include 4 dogs: a Spaniel mix named Daisy, two hound mixes, Kimber and Penny, and a Rottweiler named Yona), and 3 cats:  Gatsby, Sienna, and Darcy.  He also enjoys cooking, traveling and does a lot of volunteer work for local shelters and rescues.

Dr. Jennifer Kesler

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Jennifer Kesler grew up in the small Central Kansas town of Bushton. The inspiration of her Grandfather, the love of animals, the interest in science and medicine, and the support of her family all led her in the direction to become a veterinarian.

She received her Bachelors of Animal Science degree from Kansas State University. From there, she went to veterinary school at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her DVM in 2008. After graduation she worked at a highly progressive veterinary hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, for 6 years where she gained invaluable experience in medicine and surgery. Dr. Kesler then spent 5 years working as an emergency veterinarian at Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic in Texas and fell in love with emergency medicine.

With a move to Indianapolis this past year, she is now full time at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Care and is one of the overnight emergency veterinarians. Dr. Kesler is enjoying the change to Indiana with her husband, Dave and their daughter who is finishing her 4th year of college. Their furry family includes SoCo the boxer and Lulu the Great Dane. Her hobbies include traveling with her amazing husband, Kansas State sports, Cardinals baseball, and spending time with friends and family!

Dr. Gina Santiago

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Santiago joined the Noah's family in 2018.  She loves being a Veterinarian and strongly believes that they have a key role in public health, and that healthy pets equal healthy people.  We couldn't agree more!

Dr. Santiago has a yellow Lab named Zeus, and they enjoy discovering new walking trails together.  Her boyfriend, George, is also a Veterinarian living in New Orleans.  When not visiting her family in Lexington, Kentucky, she enjoys discovering new cultures and new food, and collecting insects (thanks to her Minor in Entomology :).  We are thrilled to have Dr. Santiago on board!
